Telocytes Forum 2016
Telocytes Forum 2016 will be held on April 16-17, 2016, in Shanghai, China. The Organizing Committee would welcome and appreciate it if you would be able to present your excellent work on telocytes and exchange knowledge and experience of telocyte research in the Forum. This is a special Forum to honour the memory of Professor L.M. Popescu (1944–2015), who discovered the “Telocytes” and opened the era of telocyte research. Professor Popescu was a world-recognized leader of cellular and molecular medicine and worked at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest. In 1993, he became the General Director of "Victor Babeș" National Institute of Pathology, Bucharest. He was Fellow of the Romanian Academy of Sciences, and President of the Medical Sciences Section of the Romanian Academy of Sciences. He was selected as vice-President of the Federation of the European Academies of Medicine during 2010-2011 and became the President in 2012. He was also the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine.
"Telocytes: Connecting Cells”, as Professor Popescu imagined them, will be the headline of Telocyte Forum. We hope the Forum can connect the people who work on telocytes and provide the platform for scientists to exchange global and deep visions on telocyte science, define remarkable milestones of telocyte research, and share the knowledge and experience of telocyte medicine.
